Students of The Felician School participate in various activities that are scheduled
each month. These activities are a very important part of their educational program
and help guide the students into using appropriate behaviors when in social situations.
They also help to expose them to various experiences in everyday living.
To ensure the effectiveness of the program, each staff member understands and participates in every aspect of the program on an individual and group basis. It is our belief that within this highly structured effective and caring environment, students learn to achieve their goals and lead productive lives within our society.
| Some monthly activities include: |

Other activities include the following: dances, movies, carnival, health/fitness demos, fire/safety demos, scavenger/Easter egg hunts. Dances emphasize appropriate social behaviors, the experience
of a variety of music (Top Ten, Country/Western, Disco, Folk, etc.) and different dance styles.
Students go on various field trips. Once a month the older students take part in a
bowling tournament. Some students participate in the Special Olympics Bowling
team. In the Fall, students participate in Felician’s Field Day. It is great for
the students' self-esteem to be able to compete and win! |
